Artist's Comments

This guy was pure fun to make. He's just a tad over 8 inches tall, and sculpted from polymer clay and apoxie sculpt over a wooden base.

Dear God it is a thing of beauty!!! Does he have a name, perchance...is he painted or is it the clay colours? If it is, what sort of paints do you use? I love the colourations and the way the golden horns jut out of his delightfully dreary skin palette...awesome!
 :coffeemachine: Oh yeah, Julie!!! This rocks!! DANG you never dissappoint! I'd love to see another of this type of dragon done as a full sculpt! WOWZERS!!!!!:worship: :wow:

That's beautiful! It reminds me of a chess piece.

You should make a chess set. I could totally see a smaller scale version of this being a knight.

I want to live in a box.
If that doesn't work out, I'll do something with my life.
Thanks! Hmm. never really named him which is odd for me! He is painted, just very subtle colors, and the photos don't really pic up on them like I hoped it would. He has a brownish gray base color with reds, blues and greens. I like the way it turned out, since most of my other dragons have been less realistic in coloring. I just use acrylics .
